Wine+ scoops AEO Excellence Award 2008

London, 5th June 2008 - Wine+, the UK’s only on-trade event, received ‘Best Show Under 2,000m2’ at the Association of Event Organisers Awards Ceremony yesterday afternoon. The AEO Excellence Awards represent the greatest accolade within the exhibition industry.

Wine+ clearly impressed the panel of industry experts who stated that they loved the event and declared it to be “outstanding, bringing buyers and sellers together from a very clearly defined market sector with the objectives being embodied in every aspect of the show”.

 

The Wine+ team is determined to take the show forward with an even better event planned for next year. Apart from new dates in February to better serve the on-trade, emphasis is to be placed on how to improve on-trade business performance, highlighting the importance of wine and food pairing.

 

Event Director for Wine+, Graham Lock, is very proud of the award and commented “The team invested a lot of time creating a unique event for a clearly defined market. We are delighted that our industry association has recognised our efforts, which is also reflected by both our visitors and exhibitors.”
